What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

I am so excited about my current read. I started (finally) The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alex E. Harrow.

january

I saw this out of the corner of my eye on a random trip to Barnes and Noble and have obsessively been wanting to read it ever since. I hauled the ebook and got on hold for for the audiobook from the library and it came through pretty quickly. I am only two chapters in but it’s beautiful so far.

My most recently finished book was Irresistible by Melanie Harlow.

Irresistible

Melanie Harlow is one of those authors I know I can turn to when I feel a bit slumpy to pull me out of it and she never disappoints. Irresistible is the romance between Frannie and Mack. Frannie is the daughter of Mack’s boss. She’s the youngest daughter who was sick as a kid and still, at 27, is overly protected by her parents and tired of it. Mack is the single father of 3 daughters who feels the age gap between he and Frannie is a problem and uses that to propel in his mind, that he has nothing to offer her. Right amount of sexy but cuteness overload thanks to Mack’s daughters..I really enjoyed this one!

I think what I’ll get to next is Love On Lexington Avenue by Lauren Layne which is book 2 in the Central Park Pact.

WWW Wednesday 25 September 2019

Happy Wednesday Friends!

‘WWW Wednesdays ’ was originally hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm before moving to Taking on a World of Words.

Wednesday

For WWW Wednesdays, we answer three questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

My current read is Coming Home For Christmas by Raeanne Thayne which is the 10th book in the Haven Point series. In the previous book, Season of Wonder, is where we get really introduced to Luke and his situation. We learn he is a single dad of two whose wife disappeared and a large group of the townspeople believe he is behind her disappearance. In Coming Home For Christmas, Luke has tracked her down and brought her home. The District Attorney is moments away from charging him and putting him in jail to make an example out of  husbands who make their wives go away.” It is the cozy, small town feel I have grown to love and expect from this serious, with the mix in of intensity surrounding the reuniting of Luke and Elizabeth, his ex-wife.

I recently finished Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec. This is an audible original I listened to via the Audible Escape. This book was hilarious and it wasn’t one of those situations where it feels the author uses too much comedy to overcompensate for lack of plot, bad writing..or whatever. The plot was there and I loved it. Heidi is a 20 something recent kindergarten teacher who when we meet, is in between jobs. She isn’t happy teaching anymore. She also has a really big crush on her neighbor. Heidi ends up getting a job working at a studio where erotica novels are produced. In hopes that it’ll help build her confidence, Heidi starts a podcast where she reads a paragraph or so from an erotica novel. I didn’t do this book justice trying to explain it, but it’s a lot of fun and so swoon worthy at the end. I highly recommend it.

What I think I’ll read next.. Lone Wolf Cowboy by Maisey Yates. I actually started this a few days ago. I made it maybe 10 pages in but had so much school reading that needed to be done. My next read is definitely going to be it, because the newest book in the series is out now.

I am currently taking part in Contemporary-a-thon which has been a lot of fun so far.

Let me know what you are reading at the moment and what you plan to read next. Happy Wednesday Friends. I hope yours is amazing. ♡♡

This is is a blog post I’ve wanted to do for a while, but didn’t have the time. Here we are though, and I’m so excited. Here ‘s the gist:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

webber

My current read is Midnight At the Blackbird Cafe by Heather Webber. I have less than 100 pages left in it, and am loving it, so much.

What did you recently finish reading?

1Sept

My most recently finished read was Only Him by Melanie Harlow. This is part of her One and Only trilogy, book 2. I’ve already read books 1 and 3, and while book 3 remains my favorite, Only Him was still really good. Very emotional, second chance romance between two high school sweethearts.

What do you think you’ll read next?

pale harbor

I’ve made a small dent in The Widow of Pale Harbor by Hester Fox, but once I finish my current read, I am determined to give this one more attention. It releases on the 17th of this month! From what I’ve read so far, it is very dark, gothic, atmospheric. I feel like Hester Fox is on her way to becoming one of those authors I turn to when I want something very specific. I know I am going to get the gothic romance vibes that I yearn for so much, and I love her for it.

So that is my first ever www Wednesday! Let me know what you’re in the middle of and have a wonderful day.
